
Bill Young is a founding member of KANE and a longtime higher-education technology executive whose career has centered on digital transformation, cloud strategy, and building strong technology teams. He previously served as Vice President of Digital Transformation and Chief Information Officer at Butler Community College.
At Butler, Bill helped lead major modernization efforts, including the college’s migration of core enterprise systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. He later joined Tharseo IT, where he continues to work in executive technology leadership helping organizations modernize complex infrastructure and cloud environments.
Bill helped establish KANE in 2013 and was an important early advocate for using collaboration to accomplish work that individual institutions could not do as effectively on their own. His focus on innovation, shared services, and practical technology leadership helped shape KANE’s culture of trusted peer problem solving.
